Ronan graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York in 1998.

He brings out the best in his subjects, shooting in a documentary style with an uncanny eye for beauty and detail. His manner puts people very much at ease.

Ronan shot his latest film in April on location around Dublin City and Co. Kildare. It is called THE CAGED BIRD. Still photographs from the set can be seen under the 'miscellaneous' section. All images displayed are courtesy of BRIAN SHERIDAN, photographer. JONATHAN CASEY, Irish composer wrote the original music and a jazz song for the film. The Director of Photography was wild-life photographer JOHN FOX who has just returned from a photo-shoot in The Gambia. RORY MURPHY acted as the producer with J.P. O'NEIL as Assistant Director. ALAN JOHNSTON, NIAL O'SULLIVAN, RUAIRI GARRIHY and STEPHEN QUINN also contributed their specialized skills. DERMOT MASEY recorded sound. The film stars NICOLA LEWIS, NEIL O'SHEA, BARRY HUNT, ANTHONY KELLY, DAN MORRISSEY, TARA POWER, PAUL O'DONAVON and CARRIE PEARCE.

Ronan is living in New York State at the moment taking photos in Montauk for a black&white project on Long Island's East End. He is also editing THE CAGED BIRD in New York City with the help of MEVLUT AKKAYA and Maya Productions.
